Haines City Theatre is proud to invite Stevens Puppets to the stage once again! Stevens Puppets specializes in hand carved, beautifully costumed marionettes which enact cherished stories with the help of skilled manipulators. Specially painted scenes and furnishings in correct proportion create a magical effect that convinces you the marionettes are really acting out the story.

Accented by Tchaikovsky's music, this dramatic and humorous script by Peabody Award winner, Martin Stevens, makes this familiar tale live again. Adapted by Zan Raynor, and the gorgeous costumes by the internationally acclaimed Margie, this puppeteering masterpiece is sure to delight all ages.

MUSIC
The music in this production is entirely from "The Sleeping Beauty Suite" composed in 1890 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The great bells heard after Princess Auroa falls asleep are from Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, Vietnam, and were recorded live in person by Dan Raynor in August 2016.
