Please prepare a musical selection from this page based off your role preference. Resumes and headshots are appreciated, but not required. CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS: *Character descriptions are provided as a guideline based on the script and are for reference only. HCT welcomes actors of all ages & backgrounds who can believably portray the role, regardless of actual demographic. GOMEZ ADDAMS Gender: Male presenting Age: 40-55 Vocal Range: Tenor/Baritone (Bb2–G4) Description: Charming, passionate patriarch of the Addams family. A comedic, romantic role with strong stage presence and tango flair. MORTICIA ADDAMS Gender: Female presenting Age: 35-55 Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano/Alto (G3–Bb5) Description: Elegant, mysterious matriarch with dry wit and sensual confidence. Requires strong acting and movement. WEDNESDAY ADDAMS Gender: Female presenting Age: 18-21 Vocal Range: Belt/Mix Soprano (Bb3–E5) Description: Darkly intelligent daughter who unexpectedly falls in love with a “normal” boy. Strong contemporary belt required. PUGSLEY ADDAMS Gender: Male presenting Age: 12-15 Vocal Range: High Tenor/Treble (Bb2–F#4) Description: Mischievous younger brother desperate to keep Wednesday from growing up. Often played by a young male actor before vocal change. UNCLE FESTER Gender: Male presenting Age: 30-50 Vocal Range: Tenor (C3–C5 approx.) Description: Narrator of the show. Eccentric, vaudevillian, lovable oddball with comedic timing and high energy. GRANDMA ADDAMS Gender: Female presenting Age: 60+ (Flexible casting possible) Vocal Range: Character Alto/Mezzo Description: Feisty, bizarre grandmother with comic timing more important than pristine vocals. LURCH Gender: Male presenting Age: 30-60 Vocal Range: Bass (Eb2–E4) Description: The towering Addams butler. Mostly nonverbal until a surprise vocal moment near the end. LUCAS BEINEKE Gender: Male presenting Age: 18-24 Vocal Range: Tenor (C3–C5 approx.) Description: Wednesday’s sweet, “normal” boyfriend. Romantic contemporary musical theatre sound. MAL BEINEKE Gender: Male presenting Age: 40-55 Vocal Range: Baritone/Tenor (C3–A#4) Description: Lucas’s conservative father who slowly reconnects with his wild side. ALICE BEINEKE Gender: Female presenting Age: 40-55 Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano (Ab3–G#5 approx.) Description: Lucas’s quirky mother. Starts tightly wound but transforms dramatically during the show.
